After a lifelong battle with heart disease, Kelly L. Warner, beloved daughter, sister, and friend, age 32, of Grand Rapids, Minn., and formerly of Hudson, Wis., unexpectedly passed away on Oct. 26.
Kelly was born on March 12, 1980, in Grand Rapids, to James Warner and Luauna Warner (Ristow). She grew up in Grand Rapids and later in Hudson with her sister, Leah, and brothers, Lonnie and Michael. She was a caregiver in life and by trade, working as a personal care assistant and volunteering with special needs children and the elderly.
Kelly had many interests and passions. She loved the outdoors, gardening, horseback riding, and animals. She cherished her dog, Chewy, who was her constant companion. She loved a good movie or a good book and had a vast collection of both. She enjoyed arts and crafts and collecting of all kinds. Kelly accepted Christ and had a childlike faith. She was excited about her future with fiancé Donald Noland.
Most of all, Kelly loved life and the people in it. She loved being with people and being there for people and had a special ability to identify and comfort those in need. In her adult life, she developed deep relationships with her father and mother with whom she was in constant communication. She was gifted with children and was quick to laugh and quick to cry. Kelly was most happy when in service to others.
Kelly is survived by her mother, Luauna Warner of Shakopee, Minn.; siblings, Leah Fox of Grand Rapids, Lonnie Warner (Jessame) of Hudson, and Michael Warner (Stacy) of Woodbury, Minn.; nieces and nephews, Abby Daigle (Abe), Dustin Cochran, AJ Fox, Sophia Warner, Sawyer Warner, and the expected arrival of Greysen Warner; many aunts and uncles; and fiancé Donald Noland of Grand Rapids.
Kelly was preceded by her father, James Warner, and grandparents.
A celebration of Kelly's life will be held at O'Connell Family Funeral Home of Hudson with a gathering time for family, friends and friends of family at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, and a memorial service beginning at 4 p.m.
Services are in the care of the O'Connell Family Funeral Home - Hudson chapel, 715-386-3725, www.oconnellfuneralhomes.com.
