Diane Barrette, age 66, of Hudson, died Nov. 27 as a result of an auto accident in Anoka, Minn.

Diane Barrette, age 66, of Hudson, died Nov. 27 as a result of an auto accident in Anoka, Minn.

Diane was born on March 3, 1946, to Herman and Bernadine Borgerding in Sauk Center, Minn. She graduated from Melrose High School in Melrose, Minn., and attended Century College. In 1965, she was united in marriage to Jeffrey Barrette at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Freeport, Minn. This marriage was blessed with son David.

Diane dedicated 36 years working for Ramsey County Human Services. She most recently worked as a supervisor for the area homeless shelters. When she wasn't working for Ramsey County, Diane could be found working at her garden. She was a master gardener and member of the local garden club. She was also a member of a book club, a member of the St. Patrick's PCCW, made beautiful stained glass designs, and enjoyed searching for antiques at various garage and estate sales.

Diane is survived by her husband, Jeffrey Barrette of Hudson; son, David (Kirsten) Barrette of Ohio; sisters, Joanie (Marvin) Heiserich, Alice (Ronald) Sundermen, Carol (Jerome) Kreamer, and Arlene (Werner) Fuchs; brothers, Ralph (Arlis) Borgerding and Roger (Carol) Borgerding; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mass of Christian Burial for Diane will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Hudson. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the Mass at church on Thursday morning. Memorials preferred.

Diane was such a nice person one of the nicest I have ever met. I will miss her at our book club. My deepest sympathies, Vicki Denning
