Elizabeth "Betty" Meyer, age 84, of Hudson, formerly of Brookfield, Wis., passed away peacefully Monday, Dec. 3, at her home.
Elizabeth "Betty" Meyer, age 84, of Hudson, formerly of Brookfield, Wis., passed away peacefully Monday, Dec. 3, at her home.
She was born the daughter of Fred and Elizabeth (Barke) Heinrichs on May 8, 1928, in Milwaukee, Wis. Betty worked at the Mayo Clinic for Dr. Benjamin Spock and worked at the VA Medical Center in Milwaukee.
She loved to roller-skate, and that is how she met her first husband, Chester. Betty was an avid reader and fan of the Packers and the Badgers football. She was active in her church and enjoyed music. During retirement, Betty traveled the world.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Chester Lewandowski and William E. Meyer.
She will be missed by her children, Scott (Mary Anne) Lewandowski, Jill (John) Martin; grandson, Blake Martin; brother, Robert (Martha) Heinrichs, and sister, Marion (Leonard) Janiszewski.
A celebration of Betty's life will be held at a later date in Brookfield. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.
Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services of Hudson.
