He grew up on the family farm in Houlton, Wis. Earl had been residing in Milaca, Minn., upon retirement to Lake Mille Lacs. Retired from International Milling (Robin Hood Flour.)
He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia; parents, Clarence and Kathrine Hill; and four siblings.
He is survived by 11 nieces, nephews, and their families: Lowell (Barbara) Carlson, Gloria Gruber, Janet (Tom) Stevenson, Shirley (George) Burke, Lyndon (Sharon) Holmes, Judy Anderson, Dennis Hill, Dale (Lana) Bjersted, Steve (Vickie) Huppert, Roger (Jeanie) Ecklund, and Robert (Judith) Ecklund.
A funeral service will be held for Earl at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 7, at Sunset Funeral Home & Cemetery, 2250 St. Anthony Blvd NE, Minneapolis, 612-789-3596. Visitation 1 hour prior, and interment following. Memorials preferred to Elim Care Center, 730 2nd St, Milaca MN, 56353.
