Patricia Ann Kelley (nee Sisterman), age 82, of Hudson, Wis., passed away peacefully on Jan. 9 at home surrounded by family.

Patricia was born on Nov. 17, 1930, in Windom, Minn., the daughter of Charles and Edith (Eckman) Sisterman. She grew up in Windom with her five siblings - Joan, Bill, Bob, Helen, Jack - and graduated from Windom High School.

On May 22, 1954, she was united in marriage to her beloved husband, Edward Kelley, with whom she shared 57 years together. Their marriage would be blessed with six children: Tom, Rick, Don, Jean, Barb, and Bob.

Patricia was an avid gardener, both with vegetable and flowers, and had an outstanding green thumb. She enjoyed quilting and sewing and wore much of the clothing that she handmade. She loved to cook and bake and was known for her Swedish rye bread. She loved to can and made delicious raspberry jelly and apple butter. She loved her sci-fi movies, as she was a Star Trek fan, and enjoyed listening to music and watching musicals. She loved reading mystery novels as well. She also raised fish and frequently bred them to sell to local pet stores. Her dogs, Jazzy and Chloe, were a big part of her life. Above all, she immersed herself in her family and faith. Even through struggles, faith and family were her foundation, and they were what inspired her the most. She took motherhood and her marriage seriously and embraced every challenge that came her way. She persevered through Ed's Alzheimer's struggle and never broke her promise to stand by his side. Pat was truly an incredible woman and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Pat is survived by her children, Tom Kelley of New Richmond, Wis., Rick Kelley of Cape Coral, Fla., Don (Sue) Kelley of Woodbury, Minn., Jean Kelley of Hudson, Barb (Al) McNamee of Hudson, Wis., and Bob (Jen) Kelley of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; grandchildren, Lindee, Nathan, Dalin, Evan, Adam, Morgan, Blake, Monica, Rachel, Anthony, Kelsey, Charlie, Alex, Sam, Bryce, and Aedan; great-grandchildren, Elliott, Caleb, Josh, Carmen, Tristan, Declan, Liliana, and Matteo; brother William Sisterman of Iowa; along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; parents; and siblings Joan Compton, Jack Sisterman, Bob Sisterman, and Helen Pattee.

A visitation for Patricia will be held from 2-6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13 at the O'Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 11th St. S., Hudson. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 14, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 1500 Vine St., Hudson, with a visitation 1 hour prior to the service at church. Interment will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to the family.
