Just found out about Newell's passing. I just wanna say thanks to him for giving a scrawny kid a chance to experience what it was like to work for a living and give me 4 years of great memories of working on the farm. It instilled in me the great work ethic I have to this day. I always tell my kids as we drive thru the country on our way home with the windows down and catch the smell of freshly cut hay or cow manure, "Remember that smell, that's the smell of home!". Those smells bring me back to my days on the farm and helping Newell and Darryl milk cows. He was a kind man and very forgiving. God Bless. Al SteinmetzOsceola, WI 02/27/2013 6:15 PM
