Druffner family mission to Tanzania

  • Dr. Mark Druffner took his services on the road with a stop at the Masai Clinic in the outlying desert region. The Druffners are trying to raise money to buy a medical truck and supplies to make a mobile clinic a reality in the region. 
  • Dr. Mark Druffner instructed the local clinical officer and a nurse/midwife on the use of a fetal Doppler monitor which Dr. Paul McGinnis of Hudson donated.
  • The Druffner children became very close with the children of Bwambo as evidenced in this picture of Cecilia Druffner with several village girls.
  • The Druffners brought soccer balls and jerseys donated by the Thunder soccer team. Jacob Druffner, left, and Julian Druffner, far right, are pictured with some soccer buddies. According to Molly Druffner, the entire village got into some very competitive matches.
  • Corey Peters of Hudson accompanied the Druffners on their trip to Tanzania to assist with the care of baby Rose and the other children and to assist Dr. Druffner at the medical clinic.
  • Mary-Therese Druffner developed a close bond with Mary, who hand-washed the laundry and cooked for the pastor at Bwambo Catholic Church.
  • Jacob Druffner, 16, built a walker for this woman who suffered from severe arthritis of the hip.
  • Molly Druffner said her older children were happiest when they were busy. Julian Druffner painted all of the clinic rooms.
