Gov. Walker came to Hudson July 13th to talk about tax reciprocity, the St. Croix River crossing and the state's recently balanced budget

  • Perhaps 25 protestors gathered near the WDOT License office, displaying signs, including: 'Farewell fake Democrats', 'Time for Moore celebration', 'Walker: Your pink slip is coming!' -- AFSCME, 'Let the real games begin!', <br /><br />'Your budget votes are the wrong way for Wisconsin families'.
  • Gov. Scott Walker credited Sen. Sheila Harsdorf's championing of the Wisconsin-Minnesota tax reciprocity challenge as a catalyst for Gov. Mark Dayton's recent pledge to work on restoring an agreement which will make it easier for residents from both states who work across the border. Walker introduced four men who had shared with him how losing reciprocity has adversely affected their families and employees.
  • Wisconsin Secretary of Revenue Rick Chandler accompanied Gov. Walker to Hudson Wednesday. Chandler, named to Walker's cabinet in December, once owned his own company, served as Secretary of the DOR from 2001-2003 and served as state budget director from 1987-2001.
  • Sen. Sheila Harsdorf thanked Gov. Scott Walker for keeping the tax reciprocity issue on his agenda amid Wisconsin's recent busy legislative session.
  • Employees from Airworthy Aerospace gathered behind press representatives to listen as Gov. Scott Walker talked about tax reciprocity and took questions about Tuesday's recall primary elections, the state and federal budget woes.
  • Gov. Scott Walker introduces himself to Tom Gritz, head inspector at Airworthy Aerospace, following Wednesday morning's press conference. Walker immediately returned to Madison for another appearance after the 8:30 a.m. session in Hudson.
