  • Two hundred twenty runners begin the Pepper Fest races Saturday morning, leaving from the festival grounds at the North Hudson Village Hall.   • North Hudson native Ryan Meissen, now a resident of Mukwonago, nears the finish line in the Pepper Fest 10K. He completed the hilly, 6.2-mile course in 32 minutes, 9 seconds.
  • The top three female finishers in the 5K race were, from left, Lucy Ramquist, River Falls, 20:54; Tia Harris, River Falls, 21:01; and Kara Meissen, Mukwonago, 21:09.
  • Sami Miller, 11, and her brother Logan Miller, 9, race to the finish line in the 5K race. The two youngsters from Blaine, Minn., are the grandchildren of Jim and Mary Jo Harden of Hudson. Their times were 36:22 and 36:23.
