  • The Dux family of North Hudson included two families in need of some help with Christmas gifts in their shopping this year.   • Rachel Stuart and her son Wade dropped off their gifts for two families. This is the second year they have participated in the Operation HELP Christmas campaign. Rachel said that after experiencing a job layoff two years ago, they know what it can mean to a family, especially at Christmas. With their own situation improved, she said they wanted to “give back.”
  • Members of the United Auto Workers Local 722 along with fellow employees at the GM plant in the St. Croix Industrial Park dropped off gifts for the families they sponsored on Monday night at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.   • Networks youth minister Elliott Krizek volunteered to help prepare the gifts for a record number of Operation HELP families on Monday.
  • After raising more than $2,900 at their third annual pie eating contest, AgStar Financial Services of Baldwin donated the funds to support two area charities. Operation HELP of Hudson received $1,635 to assist with the annual Christmas campaign and their year around services.  The amount included matching funds from the AgStar Fund for Rural American. The check was presented by AgStar employee Tiffany Dux of North Hudson to HELP Board of Directors president Monica Weekes.
  • It takes a village to deliver the results of the Operation HELP Christmas campaign. Sitting among the bags of paper products and other items each of the 175 families registered receive are, from left, Peyton Massie, Deanne Bauer, Cheyanne Massie, Maggie Hewitt and Marie Hewitt.
