Al Hein tourney raises $40,000
The 31st annual Al Hein Memorial Golf Tournament, sponsored by the Hudson Hospital Foundation, raised nearly $40,000 in support of the foundation. The event continues the legacy of Al and Laurie Hein who generously gave to the hospital and community.

The first symptoms Arlie Auch started experiencing last summer didn’t seem frightening at first. The 53-year-old elementary school teacher from Coon Rapids, Minn. began to limp, then had trouble walking, started to shuffle and fall and had overwhelming fatigue.

45th Parallel sign is gently repaired
It was truly a labor of love when Brian Rosenberger decided an icon from his childhood needed a facelift. Rosenberger’s dad Richard helped construct and install the geographic marker noting the 45th parallel north location. Recently, he, with the help of his friends, completely restored the historic sign which was installed in 1989.

After 37 years of service to Hudson Hospital & Clinics, Kathy O’Brien retired on April 3 and bid a fond farewell to her role as LifeAssist and medical staff credentialing coordinator. A retirement tea was provided at the hospital conference center in her honor and attended by many hospital staff, physicians, and family.
