Letter: Don’t need more guns
Gun control is much in the news, as it should be, since the tragedy in Newtown, Conn. In my opinion, this discussion is long overdue and much too important to receive a quick fix made when emotions run high. My hope is that cool heads will prevail and long-term solutions can be found.

Letter: Disagrees with St. Croix County DA
The DA of St. Croix County is living on cloud nine. His law credentials have generated so much power that it has gone to his head. It is time for him to go. Mr. Johnson has decided to join the anti-second amendment crowd, not for gun control but for a total gun ban. Mr. Johnson, you keep your advice, I’ll keep my guns.

Letter: Says DA is ‘imposter’
How much does DA really know about “gun control”? Others have done a fine job of pointing out the many flaws in the letter written by DA Eric Johnson. I thank you all for your forthright due diligence and for taking the time to correct the incredible number of false statements in the DA’s letter.

St. Croix County District Attorney argues for ‘meaningful’ gun restrictions
Opinion
It’s time. It’s time to enact and support meaningful and effective gun control and registration. It’s time to recognize that the free-for-all in guns has contributed to the violence in our society. It’s time to realize that restrictions on assault weapons and limiting ammunition magazines to 10 rounds are reasonable restrictions.

Letter: Supports DA gun proposals
Not surprisingly, several writers have submitted letters opposed to St. Croix County District Attorney Eric Johnson’s proposal to enact reasonable and meaningful gun restrictions (2/25/2013). It is also not surprising that some writers are misinformed when it comes to their understanding of the Constitution.
