Letter: Disagrees with St. Croix County DA
The DA of St. Croix County is living on cloud nine. His law credentials have generated so much power that it has gone to his head. It is time for him to go. Mr. Johnson has decided to join the anti-second amendment crowd, not for gun control but for a total gun ban. Mr. Johnson, you keep your advice, I’ll keep my guns.

Letter: Supports DA gun proposals
Not surprisingly, several writers have submitted letters opposed to St. Croix County District Attorney Eric Johnson’s proposal to enact reasonable and meaningful gun restrictions (2/25/2013). It is also not surprising that some writers are misinformed when it comes to their understanding of the Constitution.

Letter: Thoughts on wolf hunting
The grey wolf isn’t the only dangerous beast in the forest. There’s another beast that is even more dangerous. This other beast isn’t as smart as the grey wolf, but what it lacks in intelligence it makes up for with unusual savagery.

OUR VIEW: Hudson’s dark underbelly - heroin
Opinion
We know, and often brag, about the wonderful community in which we live - but it has its dark underbelly also. In the past couple of years there have been four deaths locally, and eight or nine deaths within a few miles of Hudson.
