Ruth K. Ladd, age 108 years, 8 months of Hudson, died Thursday, Jan. 3, at the Christian Community Home in Hudson. She is the mother of longtime Hudson businessman Charles (Chuck) Ladd.

Wekkin to seek NH presidency; two trustee seats may be open
The village of North Hudson could have two vacant trustee seats entering the April election. President George Klein and trustee Dan Ortner have both filed non-candidacy papers. Trustee Stan Wekkin has filed papers to run for village president. If Wekkin is elected (he is the only candidate who filed for the post), it could leave open both the trustee seats of Wekkin and Ortner.
