It has been 34 years since Louie Anderson took the stage as a comedian on a dare and he hasn’t looked back. Anderson will perform two shows aboard the Afton Hudson Cruise Line Laff Boat which will leave from Hudson on Friday, Oct. 19, at 6:30 p.m. and 9 p.m.

Orchard is now nine years old
Anderson Apple Orchard in the town of St. Joseph on County V sits on 22 acres and is home to over 2,700 apple trees. The Anderson family began the orchard nine years ago and continues to plant new trees each season. Manager Mark Anderson reported that this year’s harvest is down because of the dry conditions and a late spring frost that froze many of the late blossoming trees.

Tonight the Hudson School District makes the case the voters have already decided -- that the dog track would be a good place for a new high school. We all know it didn’t make a very good gambling venture -- timing is everything. And I’ve always believed that people in Wisconsin just don’t like betting on their pets, whether they are horses or dogs.
