The Girl Scouts of Minnesota and Wisconsin River Valleys Council announced recently that it will be liquidating several day and overnight facilities in the region, including the 550-acre Rolling Ridges camp.

During a special meeting of the electors Tuesday, Nov. 10, citizens of the town of Hudson voted in favor of allowing the town to exceed its current price cap of $5,000 per mile for road construction and repair.

Car collides with garbage truck on Trout Brook Road
A car driven by Gregory J. Wegener, 16, of Hudson collided head-on with a garbage truck early Friday afternoon, Nov. 6, on Trout Brook Road in the town of Hudson. No one was seriously injured in the crash.

City agrees to pay $2.5 million for NMC building
The agreement allows a nearly two-month period for the city to inspect the building and attempt to get the Hudson Area Joint Library Board to commit to leasing a portion of it from the city.
