Marilyn Park retires after 29 years with county
Marilyn Park was looking forward to some stress relief last weekend. The 62-year-old Milwaukee native retired from 29 years of service to St. Croix County including the last 24 in the district attorney’s office.

Preliminary flood damage report released by St. Croix County
St. Croix County Emergency Management reports the damage estimates to public infrastructure, including roads and bridges, to be $1.2 million from last week’s eastern St. Croix County flood.August 20, 2010

North Hudson purchases new truck, plow
The village of North Hudson board approved the purchase of a new truck, complete with contractor’s cab and snowplow at a cost of approximately $49,325. The action came at the Aug. 3 board meeting.

Town of Hudson approves changes in recycling pickup
The Hudson Town Board approved changing the means of pick up for hauled recycling, moving from the currently used bins to larger, mobile carts that would be picked up every other week on the same day as local trash pickup. The action was at the town board meeting Tuesday, Aug. 3.

Noise ordinance defeated in St. Joe
The Town Board of St. Joseph, for the second time in less than a year, held a meeting to consider implementing a noise ordinance in the town in the board meeting Thursday, Aug. 5.

City approves 2010 street projects
The Hudson City Council approved $405,680 worth of street improvements when it met Monday night. The projects are slated to be completed before the end of the 2010 construction season.
