Letter: Disc golf group forms 
I want to express my appreciation to the many people who took the time to come to City Hall last month to show their support for Frisbee (disc) golf in Hudson. Frisbee golf is a fast-growing outdoor activity that is fun to play, good exercise, and inexpensive.

After being voted down in the initial proposal to the city council, the Hudson disc golf group will need to perform an educational “drive” to address the concerns of the council in order to “putt” the course into Prospect Park with the approval of the city.

Wurm ties for 23rd at state golf
Hudson senior Cassie Wurm shot back-to-back rounds of 84 to finish in a tie for 23rd place at the WIAA Division 1 Girls State Golf Tournament Monday and Tuesday at University Ridge Golf Course in Madison.

Wurm earns 4th trip to state golf
Hudson’s Cassie Wurm finished third at Wednesday’s WIAA Division 1 La Crosse Sectional at Forest Hills Golf Course to earn her fourth straight trip to the WIAA State Tournament as an individual qualifier.
The Raiders finished fifth overall at the 8-team event.

Wurm clinches BRC golf title
Hudson’s Cassie Wurm fired a 79 in blustery conditions Wednesday to earn a five-stroke victory at the 2011 Big Rivers Conference Golf Tournament at the Hudson Golf Course.
The victory earned Wurm her second straight BRC Player of the Year honor.

Cassie Wurm fired a one-over-par 37 to earn medalist honors and teammate Leisha Cory posted a tenth place score of 49 to lead the Raider girls’ golf team to a second place finish at a 5-team Big Rivers Conference mini-meet last Thursday at the River Falls Golf Club.
