Willow River Players will present “American Idle: Murdering the Music” for two weekends beginning April 30. The dinner theater performances are scheduled at Ready Randy’s, south of New Richmond, and features a large cast from area communities.
Claudia Haas will teach theater classes for students in grades 1-6 on four Saturday mornings, April 4, 18, 25 and May 2, at The Phipps Center for the Arts. There will be a short presentation for friends and family during the second half of the last class.
Willow River Players is holding auditions for the musical “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change” at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 12, and Monday, Oct. 13, at the New Richmond High School Little Theater. The cast calls for men and women of various ages over 18.
June Erdman would be pleased. The theater teen company that she started in 1990 to help other teens cope with life is going strong. The SOS Players now have a troupe of pre-teen actors who perform for elementary and middle school audiences — as well as a second group of teen actors based at the Landmark Center in St. Paul.
