Former Hudson Raider Ben Gresmer was crowned slam dunk champion at UW-River Falls’ Midnight Madness, which kicked off the Falcon basketball season overnight Oct. 15-16. UWRF’s Midnight Madness marked the first practice of the season for the Falcons, who are ranked No. 21 in the D3hoops.com 2011-12 preseason poll.

Don Page, an icon of the UW-River Falls athletic department for over 50 years, died Tuesday night at the River Falls Area Hospital. He was 83.
Page had a long and distinguished career as a teacher, coach and administrator at UW-RF. He served the University in many capacities from his arrival in 1957 until his retirement in 1992.
