The village of North Hudson will host an old-fashioned centennial celebration Sunday, June 10, from 1 to 4 p.m. in Pepper Fest Park, next to the Village Hall, 400 7th St. North.

Larry J. Quale spread Christmas cheer to passersby
The man who lighted North Hudson’s tallest Christmas tree has died. Larry J. Quale passed away at a specialized care facility in Oak Park Heights, Minn., on May 23 after a lengthy battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 66 years old.

The Lake Mallalieu Access is more noticeable to passersby these days. The dead trees and invasive brush that partially blocked the view of the access and the lake from Second Street have been removed.
