Hockey: Girls beat three-time state champs
Last Thursday, the Raiders took the short trip down Hwy. 35 to the Wildcat Centre in River Falls to face the fourth-ranked and three time defending state champion, St. Croix Valley Fusion, a team they lost to in overtime three weeks earlier. The Raiders emerged this time with a 4-3 upset victory.

UW-River Falls’ senior basketball player Shane Manor posted back-to-back 18 point games, Maranda Dohrn set a career rebound mark, the Falcon men's hockey team defeated St. Norbert College in Green bay, and the women’s hockey team swept Marian in last week's college sports action.

Hudson girls’ hockey skater Alex Willi learned about breast cancer early in her life. Julie Murphy, the mother of her closest childhood friend, was first diagnosed with the disease when Alex and her friend, Becca, were very young.
