Japanese and Korean exchange students, ages 12 through 16, are staying with St. Croix County families for four weeks this summer. The young people all have studied English and are here to experience American life as a part of an area family.
Darrell and Nancy Burman of the town of St. Joseph received the 4-H Living Memorial Award at the recent St. Croix County Fair for their involvement in the fair, Rolling Hills 4-H Club, 4-H in general and many other community organizations.
Hudson High School student Jake Ball is coordinating a collection of useable computer equipment as part of a 4-H leadership project.
The working equipment can be dropped off for free in the parking lot of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 502 County UU, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, June 20.
The 2009-10 St. Croix County Fair Premium books have been mailed to all 4-H, open class, senior citizen and school exhibitors who entered in the 2008 St. Croix County Fair.
