A series of exhibitions featuring pottery by Lisa Buck (Afton, Minn.) quilted fabric by Nancy Condon (Stillwater, Minn.), ink/acrylic paintings by Ned Gannon (La Crosse) black and white photography by Robert Glieden (Carver, Minn.) sculpture by Brad Nichols (La Crosse) monotype and drawings by Bryan Ritchie (Menomonie) and graphite drawings by John Schuerman (Minneapolis) will be on view through Oct. 14
Sewing has been a lifetime pursuit for Linda McDougal, who at the age of five was already learning the craft.
“I have sewed all my life,” said McDougal. “My mother taught us everything she knew.” All you have to do is stop in the Sew Little Time Quilt Shop on 212 Walnut Street to see the results of her lifetime passion.

The Hudson Hospital Foundation provided a grant to the Pediatric Chemotherapy & Infusion Center located on second floor of Hudson Hospital & Clinics.
“The purpose of the grant is to help our pediatric patients feel comfortable and welcome,” said Kari Rambo, Hudson Hospital Foundation President.
The Hudson Home and Garden Club has selected the cover photo for its "2013 Hudson Area Calendar". The photo, taken by Terry Butler, features the south-facing porch of one of Hudson's historic homes while decorated with bunting for the Fourth of July.
The house, built in 1860 by Judge Herman Humphrey, is located at 803 Orange St.
