Governor James Doyle visited Hudson Hospital Monday afternoon and announced that the state is approaching the maximum number of enrollees for the new BadgerCare Plus Core Plan; the state will suspend enrollment at noon Friday, Oct. 9. The program is for low income adults without dependent children. After Friday noon, those applying for the program will be put on a waiting list.

continuing collaborative efforts to reduce the runoff of pollutants into the St. Croix River in a joint appearance in Hudson on Friday afternoon.
An announcement by Wisconsin Gov. Jim Doyle and Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty originally scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Friday in Hudson has been pushed back to 1:30 p.m. Friday. An updated media advisory from Doyle’s office says the meeting will take place at St. Croix Marina, located at the south end of First Street.
