Seven Rivertowns area wrestlers were able to win their fifth place matches at the WIAA State Individual Wrestling Tournament Saturday afternoon at the Kohl Center.

9/19/2012: Funeral set for Ellsworth man who died in construction accident
A funeral service for Joseph C. Janisch, rural Ellsworth, who died early Monday, Sept. 17th in a construction accident along I-94 near Menomonie, is set for 11:30 a.m. Friday at St. Francis Catholic Church in Ellsworth. Janisch, a father of four, was a dairy farmer and avid hunter and fisherman.

UPDATE: Hudson man robbed at gunpoint is arrested as well
The Hudson homeowner who was robbed at gun point early Monday morning has been arrested right along with the man who broke into his home. Police arrested Michael Wayne Schwartzkopf of Fond du Lac for the break-in. The homeowner, Steven Iverson, 1820 Stone Creek St., was arrested shortly thereafter when police allegedly found drugs in the residence.
Both men are being held in St. Croix County Jail pending charges.
