Dozens of St. Croix County residents are busy preparing for a one-year tour of duty in Iraq. Wisconsin’s 32nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, the state’s largest National Guard unit, has received orders that they will be deployed to active duty sometime in mid-February 2009.
The worst enemies Spc. Andrew Joski faced during an eight-month tour in Iraq were boredom and loneliness. “It was a lot different than what I expected,” said the 21-year-old Army National Guard soldier.
