Hudson will have representatives in 12 individual events and four relays at the WIAA State Track and Field Championships June 5-6 in La Crosse.
The Raider girls will be sending five individuals and two relay teams while the boys qualified six individuals and a pair of relay teams.
The Raider football team moved the ball well at first, had a hiatus marked by turnovers on both sides, then rallied to put away Rice Lake 28-8.
Rice Lake didn’t score until there were only 42 seconds left, and the scoreboard made the game seem closer than it was, as Hudson moved to 3-1 on the year.
The Raiders girls volleyball team had another hectic week, but in this case it could have served them better, as except for easy wins against Ellsworth and Ironwood, their level of play never fully spiked.
The Raider cross country team traveled to the Menomonie Relays last Saturday, and the boys squad won in difficult weather.
The girls squad also faced strenuous circumstances, as they were missing some of their top runners, so they pulled in with a fifth.
The Raider volleyball team had another busy week with matches played every other day, starting last Tuesday with an easy win against BRC rival River Falls, and ending with a middling performance at their own invitational.
