In less than a week, Americans will have the opportunity to exercise their privilege and right to vote. We are one of the longest surviving democracies in the world and, more than ever, the world is watching.
A shadow has fallen over the North Hudson voting process, but it will soon be remedied. Resident Karen Crawley, who is also a poll worker, addressed the Village Board of Trustees meeting last Tuesday with the problem.
I’m responding a bit late, but I wanted to express my dismay about my inability to vote during the Wisconsin primary election on Feb. 19. I am a third-year Peace Corps volunteer serving in China and requested a ballot for the primary over two months before the election. I received the ballot six days before the election.
