It got down to 27 degrees in northern Wisconsin this morning, but somewhat warmer temps are expected for the weekend. Lawmakers rejected a proposed funding increase, taking their anger out on the UW for imposing maximum tuition increases for six straight years while quietly sitting on $650 million in cash reserves.
Police say woman may have attempted to entice children
The Hudson Police Department is asking people to be on the lookout for a woman who approached three 11-year-old children in a suspicious manner as they were walking home from E.P. Rock Elementary School at about 3:50 p.m. Wednesday, May 22.

Raiders claim first conference baseball title in 34 years
The Hudson Raider baseball team clinched its first conference championship since 1979 Tuesday, May 21, by sweeping a doubleheader from Eau Claire North, 4-2 and 5-3, at Eau Claire’s Carson Park. Hudson finished the season all alone in first place in the Big Rivers Conference with a record of 11-1.
