Artful Garden Tour is this weekend

The beautiful Victorian Gardens at the Historic Octagon House Museum will be the starting point of the Hudson Women's Club's 14th annual Artful Garden Tour. The 14th annual Artful Garden Tour is this weekend, June 23 and 24, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

The tour begins at the Octagon House, 1004 Third St. It consists of six Hudson gardens filled with beautiful plantings and artists and musicians. Gardens on the tour are: the Octagon House garden, 1004 Third St.; the Scott and Julie Schuknecht garden, 802 Fifth St.; the Tom and Barbara Zeuli garden, 927 Tenth St.; the Janet and James Nobel garden, 110 13th St.; the John and Tanya Slavksy garden, 845 Wyldwood Lane; and the Jeffrey and Diane Barrette garden, 872 Benoy Drive

This is the 14th year for the Artful Garden Tour. It began as a way to raise money to install hanging flower baskets in downtown Hudson and still today all profits go to the baskets. The tour is sponsored by the Hudson Women's Club.

Tickets, which are $12, may be purchased at the Octagon House on the days of the tour. Tickets are good for both days. Posters from previous tours will be available for sale at the Octagon House during the Tour. All posters are $10. For more information, call (715) 386-7787.
