'The Secret Garden' opens Nov. 8
A timeless story comes to life on stage this weekend in the Hudson High School Performing Arts Auditorium.
“The Secret Garden” originally published in its entirety in 1911 was written by Frances Hodgson Burnett.
Burnett was an English-American playwright and author who is best known for her children’s stories, which include “Little Lord Fauntleroy” and “A Little Princess.” She was born Nov. 24, 1849, in Greater Manchester, United Kingdom, and died in the United States in 1924. “The Secret Garden” was made into a movie in 1993.

The Secret Garden opens Friday and runs weekends Nov. 8-17. Evening performances are at 7 p.m. with Sunday matinees at 2 p.m. Tickets are $12 for adults and $7 for students and are on sale at the HHS box office Monday-Friday, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. and 3-7 p.m. Tickets are still available.
