The 45th Parallel Exhibition, a juried group show featuring work by over 60 local and regional artists, and Wood-Fired Pottery, an exhibition of work by Willem Gebben of Colfax, presented in partnership with Northern Clay Center, will be on view from Jan. 10 through Feb. 9 in The Galleries of The Phipps Center for the Arts.

An opening reception will be held on Friday, Jan. 10, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Artists will be present and hors d’oeuvres will be served at this free event, which is open to the public.

Prior to the opening, at 6 p.m., Gebben will talk about his work in the Atrium Gallery.

A special ticketed event will follow the reception, from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. in the Black Box, with live music, light snacks, and local beer.

Tickets are $5 and are available in advance at, or at the door. The post-reception event is for ages 21 and older.

Galleries hours are Monday through Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Sunday noon to 4:30 p.m., as well as one hour before and through intermission of all performances in The Phipps theaters.
