Snow and cold didn't stop Hudson Boosters' Easter egg hunt
The snow covering Prospect Park and a temperature hovering near freezing didn't stop the Hudson Boosters from holding their annual Easter egg hunt for children on Saturday afternoon, March 30.
The snow and wet conditions did necessitate a change in procedures. Instead of hunting for wrapped candy on the ground, the children lined up to have it handed to them by volunteers working inside the park's picnic pavilion. All the children received a traditional chocolate Easter bunny.
Eight lucky children also took home a bicycle after their ticket number was drawn from a bucket by Miss Hudson Katie Layman or a member of her court.
