Volunteers needed by Operation HELP, The SOURCE
Operation HELP and The Source are looking for people who want to help others get through tough times and back on their feet.
They are holding their semi-annual information session for potential volunteers on Thursday, Oct. 18, from 10-10:30 a.m. at 901 Fourth St. in Hudson. The session is open to the public. Volunteers provide in-person assistance at The SOURCE or answer telephones for Operation
HELP; other opportunities to assist are also available.
The SOURCE provides a place here in Hudson where local residents can find knowledgeable volunteers to help them identify the best available social services to meet their needs.
Operation HELP's primary mission is to help individuals and families recover from temporary crisis by providing financial assistance with rent and utilities. Operation HELP also conducts various programs through the year, such as a "Warm for Winter" program that offers coats for those in need and a Christmas Campaign that provides a Christmas experience for children in the Hudson school district whose parents have limited means.
