Ministry holds women's conference
Latte Women's Ministry will hold its popular midwinter conference from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10, and from 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, at Faith Community Church Auditorium, 777 Carmichael Road. Latte's theme this year is ever-illusive rest, and the conference title is 'Rest in His Presence'.
Speaker Jane Rubietta is an award-winning author who has contributed articles for magazines, writes on assignment for Focus on the Family and speaks on faith and writing here and abroad. But Rubietta gets a special joy in speaking to women's groups. Audiences describe her speaking as mesmerizing, deeply spiritual, funny, vulnerable, dramatic, and personal."
"I believe that every issue we face ...- whether busyness, failure, shame, transitions - every issue is intended to lead us to God," Rubietta says. "Our tendency is to let our problems separate us from God and one another - but instead, they can become tools to allow us to deepen our spiritual lives, and in turn, to change the world!"
Rubietta of Chicago is a pastor's wife and mother of three who speaks internationally and ecumenically, inviting her audiences to tumble into Jesus' arms to find the love they've been looking for. To Rest in His Presence.
