The second annual Bluegrass & Roots music festival will be held Friday - Sunday, March 23-25 in downtown River Falls.

The three days of live Bluegrass, Roots, Cajun, and Americana music will include headliners Dr. Ralph Stanley and His Clinch Mountain Boys on Friday night and Pert' Near Sandstone on Saturday night. Becky Schlegel and Josh Williams will be the opening acts on both Friday and Saturday nights. Other artists include The DitchLilies, The Boys N' The Barrels and the High 48's. Banjo, guitar and fiddle workshops and jam sessions included.

New this year is the Upper Midwest Flatpick Guitar Championship which promises to be an exciting competition among the best of the best. Prizes will be awarded for the top five artists including a hand crafted guitar to the overall winner. This will take place from 12:30 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 24.
