No stranger to seasonal business, Chicago Dogs' owners opened their food stand in Lakefront Park for the season. The company, CHI-DOGs, Inc. is owned and operated by Anne and Bruce Chesin of Stillwater. Their first stand opened in 1999 at the Minnesota State Fair in the beer gardens. The success and popularity of the Chicago Dogs led them to take the business on the road, traveling with a concession trailer to everything seasonal from county fairs to weekend parties. In 2006 they opened a shop in downtown Stillwater.

"We had been wanting to go to Hudson for the last three or four years," said Bruce Chesin. "This year we found a place and at the same time I heard the bath house was going to become available. So we opened up there."

"It is a great location, the only drawback is the weather. If it rains nobody goes to the beach," said Chesin. "Regardless, I love Hudson. Overall it has been a great experience and we apply our own personal philosophy into it and that customer service makes it more than just a place to get a sandwich."

The Hudson location is managed by Dan Chesin and Dustin Buschetti.

Using a successful menu and model, the food stand offers their special service.

"The reason we went with hot dogs is because they are fun," said Chesin. An affectionate phrase for a Chicago Dog is draggin' it through the garden, because it generally comes out with relish, tomatoes, peppers and more. They use only Vienna 100 percent all beef hot dogs.

They offering their famous dogs anyway you want including Chicago Dogs, chili, bratwurst, BBQ beef along with an assortment of beverages, candy and mini donuts.

"We want everything to be good. "It is all about customer service," said Chesin.
