Body found Tuesday along St. Croix River is identified

The body found on the shore of the St. Croix River in Lakeland, Minn., on Tuesday, May 14 has been identified as Donald Duane Marklowitz Jr., 55.

According to the Washington County Sheriff's office, Marklowitz was last seen in Hudson on April 1. The exact cause of death is still under investigation.

At this time, neither the Washington County Sheriff's Office nor Wisconsin authorities are looking for anyone in relation to this case and there is no threat to the public. The Sheriff's Office received a assistance from the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the Hudson Police Department

The identification was made by the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office.
