Second armed theft in two weeks occured early Tuesday at Hudson's Super 8

This is the surveillance photo of the suspect involved in the Jan. 8 armed robbery of the Check ‘n Go on Ward Avenue. It is unknown at this point if this man was the robber in the Tuesday morning robbery of the Super 8 on Dominion Drive.

Hudson police were called to the Super 8 Motel, 808 Dominion Dr, early Tuesday morning following an armed robbery.

The call came around 4:20 a.m. More details will be released later today according to Hudson Police Chief Marty Jensen.

Investigators are checking to see if the suspect in this robbery could be the same person who robbed the Check ‘n Go, 1801 Ward Ave. around 9 a.m. on Jan. 8.  In that robbery, the thief entered the store with a weapon and ordered two employees to lie down on the floor. An undetermined amount of cash was stolen. The suspect in the Jan. 8 robbery was described by employees as a black man, wearing a black scarf, black hoodie and a gray jacket. No vehicle description was available but police were able to get a clear surveillance photo of the suspect.

It is unknown if there is a connection between the two robberies. Anyone with information should contact the Hudson Police Department at (715)386-4771
