Because of the quick action of a truck driver, two people were saved from a fiery crash early Wednesday morning on Heggen Street near Hosford Street.

The driver of a pickup truck crossed the center line at about 2 a.m. and hit a semi-truck head-on. The pickup truck caught fire following the impact and the semi driver jumped from the cab of his vehicle and pulled both the driver and his passenger to safety. No one was injured

The driver of the pickup truck was a Hudson man and he was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
