Hudson's CCH begins $2.4 million construction, remodelling project
Hudson's Christian Community Home, 1320 Wisconsin St., recently began a $2.4 million construction and remodeling project. When completed next year, the facility will have almost three times as many private rooms, expanded service area, a new entrance and completely remodeled facilities in the existing portion of the nursing home.
"CCH will be a better place," said Executive Director Dan Goodier. "It's all about quality of life. We're taking a nice facility and making it better."
Former CCH Board President Roger Roenfanz is the construction manager for the project. He said the project involves two phases.
"First is the interior remodeling of the existing home and the new front entrance addition," Roenfanz said. "The second phase involves the addition of private rooms."
The 81-bed facility currently has 15 private rooms and 33 double rooms (66 beds). After the project, the facility will have 39 private rooms and 21 double rooms (42 beds). He said construction of the new sections could begin within 30 days.
