Wisconsin quarterback Scott Tolzien named the Big Ten's offensive player of the week
Wisconsin quarterback Scott Tolzien is the Big Ten offensive player of the week, after he threw four touchdown passes in the Badgers' 38-30 win over Michigan State.
Tolzien, a junior, completed 19-31 passes for 243 yards against the Spartans.
And he ranks 13th in the country with a passer rating of 164.3.
The Badgers are 4-0 after winning their Big Ten opener. And while at least some fans thought Wisconsin should get a Top 25 national ranking, coach Bret Bielema is not upset that they didn't.
He says he's more concerned about getting better each week.
Center John Moffitt says any talk about rankings takes away from the task at hand which is next Saturday's game at Minnesota.
The Badgers have won their last five games over the Gophers. Minnesota won its league opener at Northwestern on Saturday, 35-24.
Meanwhile, Wisconsin's Oct. 10, game at Ohio State will start at 2:30 p.m. ABC will televise it.
