Schachtner defeats Jarchow in special election

Dominic James makes an impression on Bucks' coach Skiles

Dominic James probably won't make the Milwaukee Bucks' regular season roster, since he's the No. 4 point guard at training camp.

But coach Scott Skiles says he likes what he sees from the former Marquette star.

And James is sure to get some playing time during the Bucks' exhibition season, which begins on Sunday in Mankato, Minn., against the Timberwolves.

Skiles said the 5-foot-11-inch James has good quickness.

He says James' size is a concern, but he has strong athleticism.

James missed an opportunity to impress pro scouts at the NBA Summer League, because he sprained his right knee at the Bucks' rookie camp.

Thursday, the Bucks asked for waivers on guard Mark Tyndale and forward Marcus Hubbard.
