Assistant can help for less

Lori Skutt knows what it is like to run a small business. She has spent the past several years in the daycare business while raising her three young sons. With her oldest off to school soon, she has decided to leave daycare and put some of her other skills to work.

As "The Business Assistant" Skutt can provide a whole range of services to small businesses at prices she says they can afford. She offers a wide array of deskstop publishing and word processing services. She can also create presentations including power points, transparencies and proposals. Her administrative skills include managing accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, inventory management and tracking, and both internal and external reports.

She also can assist with bulk mailing, event planning, Web site design and maintenance and other professional organization services.

Skutt and her husband, Jason, live in Roberts, but she is a Hudson native. They have three sons, Jackson, 5, J.T., 3, and Jonathan, 1. She graduated from Hudson High School in 1993 and is the daughter of Susan Gilbert of Hudson.

Skutt also works as the administrator for the Central St. Croix Recreation Program and has prior experience in sales with AT&T Wireless.
