Hudson businessman Johnson appears on drug and sex charges
Not to be confused with Jeff Johnson who owns Johnson's Body Shop
A Hudson businessman made an initial appearance in St. Croix County Circuit Court last Tuesday on felony charges related to a party at a Hudson house last summer.
Jeffrey Todd Johnson, 44, posted a $5,000 signature bond during an initial hearing Feb. 12 on felony charges of sexual assault of a child under 16 and possession of cocaine with intent to deliver.
The charges resulted from the investigation of a sexual assault complaint by a 15-year-old Hudson High School female student filed Sept. 12. The criminal complaint alleged Johnson had offered cocaine to the girl and sexually touched her during a party at her father's residence during the overnight hours of Aug. 3-4.
A preliminary hearing was set for Feb. 28 at 3 p.m.
Johnson filed a notice of address change with the court Feb. 12, changing his current address to 3216 S. Lexington Blvd., Eau Claire, from a former listing on Seventh Street in Hudson. He also posted a $10,000 signature bond on the charges.
Johnson has had an interest in several buildings and businesses in downtown Hudson including the Twisted Grille, but is apparently no longer involved in that business.
