Murder charges filed in death of Hatfield woman
Jackson County's chief prosecutor says he'll file a homicide charge sometime this week against a Hatfield man accused of killing his ex-wife.
Monday, a judge ruled that authorities had probable-cause when they arrested Doug Sidie, 39, of Hatfield.
He first said he had no idea what happened to his ex-wife Alicia, 27, after she left their house Nov. 7, following an argument.
A massive search took place for about a week.
Then, officers were tipped off to a possible murder plot and they said Doug Sidie took them to the wooded area where he dumped her body.
No charges were filed Monday.
The arresting officer wrote that Alicia was shot in the head on the sidewalk outside her home and her body was then hidden in the woods.
Autopsy results were not released Monday.
Relatives are planning a memorial service for Thursday night.
