Authorities from Isanti County (Minn.), are trying to track down Wade James Swenson, 38, Hager City in connection with the disappearance of a 17-year-old girl who lived in North Branch, Minn., but worked weekends in Red Wing, Minn.

"We were contacted today (Tuesday) by Isanti County who were looking for Swenson in connection with the girl's disappearance," said Lt. Dennis Sorenson, of the Pierce County Sheriff's Department.

Authorities are trying to locate Christin B. Swenson, 17, who has not been seen since she left work at Econofoods in downtown Red Wing Monday night.

According to Sorenson, Christin and Wade are first cousins.

The Minnesota Crime Alert Network issued an alert after being notified by family members in Isanti County that Christin did not make it home from work.

The Bureau of Criminal Apprehension said Christin Swenson was interviewed last week as a possible assault victim.

Her mother, Mary Swenson, told authorities her daughter called home around 8 p.m. Monday and said she was on her way home; she expected to arrive around 10 p.m.

Authorities with the MCAN do not know where the girl stayed when in Red Wing.

"She has not arrived at home and she does not answer her cell phone," authorities said Tuesday afternoon through a press release.

The teenager's parents reportedly were en route to Red Wing to meet with local authorities.

Christin Swenson is described as 5 feet, 5 inches tall, weighing 105 pounds. She has blonde hair and brown eyes.

She was driving a 2000 Chevrolet Malibu four-door, pewter in color, with Minnesota license UGA 376.

Wade Swenson, was last know to be living at N1368 790th St., Hager City, but according to Sorenson it is not believed he is living there any longer.

"We found out yesterday (Monday) that he had left," Sorenson said.

According to Sorenson, Swenson has three outstanding warrants from Pierce County. Two of the warrants for misdemeanors and one is for felony-theft by fraud from February 2007.
