It was a full house at the Youth Action Hudson Annual Breakfast Celebration last week at the Hudson Golf Club.

The organization, formerly known as Community Action, has been active in the Hudson area for more than 30 years. Former Hudson High School principal and YAH vice president Ed Lucas told invited guests about the organization and introduced board and staff members, youth volunteers and community partners.

Those attending also heard from members of "Youthrive," a Twin Cities organization that focuses on leadership and service learning for young people, similar to Youth Action Hudson.

Money raised at the event will go to support YAH programs including Peer-to-Peer Training (bullying and teasing workshops), ReWEAR Teen Clothing Store, Spring into Action Clean-Up and Fall Leaf Rake, Empty Bowls, Coffee House Live, annual service trips, the Hudson Youth Have Talent show and more.

For more information about YAH, go to or call (715)386-9803. The office is located at 901 Fourth St., Suite 207.
