Motorcycle collides with truck at Second and Vine streets

A Somerset man suffered what were discribed as "non-incapacitating" injuries when the motorcycle he was operating collided with a pickup truck in Hudson on Monday afternoon.

The accident happened shortly before 4 p.m. in the intersection of Second and Vine streets.

David E. White, 61, was operating the Harley Davidson motorcycle. According to a Hudson Police Department report, White pulled around a northbound vehicle in front of him that was waiting at the traffic light to make a left turn from Second onto Vine, and struck a southbound truck that also was making a left turn from Second onto Vine.

Nathan E. Demuth, 40, of Hudson, was driving the pickup truck.

St. Croix Emergency Medical Services and the Hudson Fire Department responded to the scene. Firefighters assisted with traffic control and lifting White onto a stretcher.

White was place in a St. Croix EMS ambulance.
